Previous workshops benefitted by the participation of leading academic speakers such as Sjak Smulders (Tilburg), Juan-Pablo Montero (PUC Chile), John Reilly (MIT), William Nordhaus (Yale), Carlo Carraro (Venice), Scott Barrett (Columbia), Agnar Sandmo (NSE), Gilbert Metcalf (Tufts), Ottmar Edenhofer (PIK), Larry Goulder (Stanford), Richard Schmalensee (MIT), Karen Palmer (RFF), Rick van der Ploeg (Oxford), Don Fullerton (Illinois), Christiane Baumeister (Notre Dame), Lucas Bretschger (PSE and ETH Zürich) and Natalia Fabra (UC3M). A selection of papers of the first workshop was published in the Edward Elgar book Economic Modelling of Climate Change and Energy Policies (2005). The main papers from the 2008 workshop were published in a special issue of Energy Journal and a selection of papers from the 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 editions were published in supplemental issues of Energy Economics (2011), (2013), (2015), (2017) and (2019). A selection of papers by participants in the 2022 edition will be published in a forthcoming VSI of Resource and Energy Economics.
