Economics for Energy was a private research center that applies economic analysis to energy issues. The center was constituted as a non-profit private association, participated by universities, foundations and firms, in 2010 and closed in 2026.

The mission of Economics for Energy was to create knowledge in the field of energy economics, and to transfer this knowledge effectively to society, informing, guiding and advising public and private decision makers

Economics for Energy was led by two university professors (from the Pontifical Comillas and Vigo Universities) and had several affiliate academics and representatives of the associated research centers.

The creation of knowledge was carried out by conducting research projects, by postgraduate training and with a postdoctoral research program. All research activities were conducted with academic rigor and lead to academic publications.
