Energy is a basic element for socio-economic development and that is why the energy system in Africa is far from satisfying the needs and aspirations of its citizens. This presentation by Dan Dorner explored one of the less analyzed issues of the global energy system, examining future possibilities, disaggregating by type of energy good, productive sector and region, and showed how investments in the African energy sector could foster a faster socio-economic development in the continent.
