Previous workshops benefitted by the participation of leading academic speakers such as Sjak Smulders (Tilburg), Juan-Pablo Montero (PUC Chile), John Reilly (MIT), Charles Kolstad (Santa Barbara), William Nordhaus (Yale), Carlo Carraro (Venice), Scott Barrett (Columbia), Agnar Sandmo (NSE), Gilbert Metcalf (Tufts), Ottmar Edenhofer (PIK), Larry Goulder (Stanford) and Richard Schmalensee (MIT). A selection of papers of the first workshop was published in the Edward Elgar book Economic Modelling of Climate Change and Energy Policies (2005). The main papers from the 2008 workshop were published in a special issue of Energy Journal and a selection of papers from the 2010, 2012 and 2014 editions were published in supplemental issues of Energy Economics (2011), (2013) and (2015).
